Book Review: These recipes are Good and Cheap

There is no more budget-friendly cookbook than this one I am about to share with you here. I have been hiding out at a quiet beach...doing some outdoor exercise, cooking and listening to podcasts. Basically, I'm just being lazy.  Anyhow, I was listening to Samir Nosrat's podcast Home Cooking  when she mentioned a PDF cookbook called Good and Cheap by Leanne Brown. The book can be downloaded for free and the recipes are inexpensive to make...$4 a day, according to the book. Check out the link to the book here . That is a link to the English version, but it's also available in Spanish. I haven't priced out the all recipes (and, obvioiusly, the cost will vary by your location) but they are all budget friendly and delicious.  In my area, the cost of making the six Whole Wheat Jalapeno Cheddar Scones is $2.76. That's more than a dollar and a half less than even the author suggested. I priced out the Dal recipe that she said would cost $2.40 for four servings at $1.63. I
