Sprit Fillay: A kid-friendly, kid-created dish

Sometimes the kids want to help out in the kitchen. Easy recipes and recipes for things they like to eat are hard to come by. So rather than looking for what they want to eat, let them come up with their own recipes and you’re sure to find something that meets both criteria.
I have three daughters with three distinct personalities. The oldest likes to cook, but loves to bake. The middle one has no interested in the culinary arts. And the youngest likes to experiment a bit when she cooks. So when I asked if she had any suggestions for recipes, she decided to make something very fast, and very inexpensive.
A little pasta, a few vegetables and some spices and, in less time than it takes to make a packaged pasta dish, you can have a healthy meal.
Jessica called her kitchen invention Sprit Fillay. “What’s that?” I asked. “I don’t know, it just popped into my head.” It sounds mysterious and tasty…you’re not quite sure what to expect.
This is a rustic sort of meal with a sort of Italian feel. This is something to make when you’re in a hurry and you want something healthy and tasty, give Jessica’s Sprit Fillay a try.
