Pop on over for a great snck

For years, I thought I was allergic to  popcorn. I'd  go to the movies with ny friends, we'd get popcorn and within minutes, I'd be scratching at my face. Nothing else had that effect on me.It had to be the popcorn.
Either that or my friends.
Turns out that it was neither the popcorn nor my friends who brought on the itches...it was the fake butter.
So, now I make my own popcorn with REAL butter and whatever spices strike my fancy on that particular day,
The other day, I was making snack enchilladas for the rest of the gang...the meat-filled sort. So, I decided to make myself  healthier snack, I used some of the spices and the cheese that made the enchiladas so good.
You can make the snack as spicy or as bland as you'd like. This is a low calorie snack that packs a lot of flavor and fun. Make this when you want something healthy and exciting.
Nachos Popcorn
1/2 cup of butter, melted
1 teaspoon of red pepper
1 teaspoon of ground cumin
1 teaspoon of paprika
1 gallon of popped popcorn
1/2 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese
  • In a small bowl, mix together the butter, the crushed red pepper, the cumin and the paprika.
  • Put the popcorn in a large bowl.
  • Sprinkle with the butter mixture and Cheddar cheese.
  • Toss until well mixed.
